OUR AGENCY AND WHAT WE DO
Our agency was established by Lyn Michaels in 1989 offering permanent placement services of medical personnel. When Exclusive Medical first began, our focus was anesthesia. However, today, we have four divisions to service client's needs. The divisions are all in the medical field.
Over the years, both our clients and our candidates have returned over and over to our agency for additional staffing needs or, perhaps, a new position.
We offer an Exclusive Contract to our clients that are seeking a new staff Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP). Our contract and fee structure allow both the client and the candidate to get to know one another. If there is a good match, the candidate can easily transition into the permanent setting. As the client, you won't pay a large fee and if you're the candidate, the agency won't prohibit you from obtaining the job you want on a permanent basis.
In 1996, clients began to call us for locum needs. They wanted professionalism, good providers with proven backgrounds, fair rates and fair contracts. We began our network of locums with many of the clients that we originally assisted and providers contacting us to become providers. We treat providers fairly.
Locums also began to call us because we offered the best rates to the providers and our rates to the clients are fair. Our philosophy is that you, as the provider, should be paid the best rate possible. As the placement agency, we earn our fees by booking the assignments and guaranteeing that you will be paid each week. You don't wait for your checks, they are mailed to you each week or if you would like an automatic deposit, we can arrange that too. If a client defaults in a payment, we will still pay you for your services.
Our agency began to fill positions on a locum basis across the US and have continued to do so. Some locum assignments are for days, weekend, weeks, months or indefinite coverage. We began in the Midwest and developed our clientele to meet the needs of client's on a nationwide basis
Our Philosophy and why we remain the way we are:
Our agency is not a large agency which means clients don't have to worry about high overhead. You should have your own insurance but if needed, we can purchase insurance for you. Some locums will work under the policy of a facility but, if a lawsuit occurs, you need someone in your corner to protect you. Check with your organization regarding the details of insurance. There are tax benefits as well for locum contractors.
Candidates are thoroughly screened, references are carefully checked and we conduct a criminal background check. We recommend clients check with the National Practitioner data base to verify the information we supply is up to date and accurate. We also recommend drug test and screening. All information is secure and confidential. All information is on file and documented.
